Native & Drought-Tolerant Planting

Gardens designed around Colorado-native and climate-adapted plants that thrive in Boulder's altitude without constant watering or maintenance.

Design

Native planting isn't just an environmental choice in Boulder — it's the practical one. Plants that evolved at altitude, in clay soil, with 14 inches of rain and 300 days of sun don't need you to baby them. They support local pollinators, resist local pests, and look like they belong here because they do.

We work with a palette of Colorado natives and well-behaved adapted plants: blue grama grass, blanket flower, rubber rabbitbrush, Rocky Mountain penstemon, coral bells, autumn sage. These aren't the plants you'll find at a big-box garden centre — we source from Colorado-native nurseries.

Drought-tolerant doesn't mean barren. Our native designs include seasonal colour, texture contrast, and winter interest — a garden that looks deliberate, not neglected.
